Do Not Purchase this!Followed instructions according to directions-relatively simple to assemble. However, the cover FAILED TO FIT OVER THE CRATE TO WHICH IT WAS ASSOCIATED AND EACH LEG SNAPPED BECAUSE THE UNIT WASN'T LARGE ENOUGH TO CLEAR THE SIZE OF THE METAL CRATE! I SPENT A LONG TIME CAREFULLY MANEUVERING THE COVER SO AS TO FIND A PERFECT FIT BUT EACH TIME I MOVED IT, THE LEGS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE BUCKLED AND THEN ULTIMATELY THE WOOD SPLIT EVERYWHERE. I'M NOW OUT A LARGE SUM OF MONEY FOR A PRODUCT THAT DOESN'T HOLD UP TO SPECS! VERY VERY DISGUSTED!Warning!This is a nice product it terms of style and finish, BUT... Amazon suggests the wrong Midwest crate to use with it. I bought this and the suggested crate in the appropriate size. It doesn't fit! The sugested crate is a 1600 series modle, double door crate. After delivery and attempted setup, it was apparent that the crate is too large for the table. Reading the enclosed instructions, Midwest indicates that it is designed for a 1500 series iCrate. So I ordered this and wrong crate with expedited shipping so that our new rescue dog can use it when we bring him home tonight. Now I'm on my way to PetSmart to by the correct crate at retail price w/tax. I'm hoping Amazon will take responsibility and work with me so that I'm not stuck with return shipping charges for the 1600 series crate. They screwed me because the table was too small and we could not use the legs. The cherry top had to be squeezed onto the enclosure cage. I could not return as my puppy was on the way in 2 days.Shipping was SUPER fast.... Dont listen to Amazon's combo deals as they dont know what they are talking about. Ageless piece of furnitureI got mixed up with the order. I had forgotten that the wire crate is purchased separately from the furniture top. Luckily, Petsmart had the exact crate I was looking for and it was on sale too!I had bought the Iris 4-part Play pen, but my puppy had hardly used it for three weeks, than he begun to try and climb out. This pen had neither a top nor a bottom. So I had to buy a crate that was all enclosed. I got an email to call and arrange for when I would like the furniture to be delivered, and true to their word, it was delivered in a large truck. It was easy to assemble as it comes with clearly labelled diagrams for instructions. But it is a very heavy piece of furniture. I had to seek help to move it around. I guess this contributes to its sturdiness. I like its colour and appeareance. It has a nice rich glossy finish. And it blends in with the other furniture. And you can place things like flowers or table lamp on the top for a nice finish. The combination is very strong..my pup is a terrier and he tried to get out but there is no way. The crate has two doors, one on the side and one on the front..I like this alot! It has been the envy of the neighbourhood and they keep asking from where I got it from. It may be pricey but it is well worth it. I planned to buy the largest size for my Welsh Terrier puppy and so I will never have to buy another "house" for him. |
