Awesome thermal cat matTwo of my three cats just love the thermal mat. There is almost always someone laying on it. Katie and Jordi are pleased and I am pleased. Construction seems to be very good.cats and kittens love itMy adult cats love it. I foster kittens as well, and this is wonderful for the older (4+ weeks) kittens to keep them nice and warm. They come running out of the carrier and always feel nice and toasty when I come in after they've been confined to the bathroom overnight or I'm away. Cleaning it is a breeze- just cold wash and hang dry. Definitely recommend this.Didn't work for us, but it has potentialI think my cat has so many places she could plop herself down in my house that she doesn't care to use the Thermal Cat Mat. The material is thick but not plush. It's crinkly inside with a soft faux fur fabric on one side and black fleece on the reverse side. It can be used in a crate, which is probably the best place for us to use it. There's a loop of material on one end that could be used to hang the mat. It is machine washable.If I had to rate it based solely on how much this product interests my cat, I'd say it's two stars, because I caught her sleeping on it a couple of times. She's on it right now and maybe she's on it when I'm not looking. For looks, ease of care and potential that other cats might like it, I'd give it four stars. Older kitty is warm & Happy!My older cat gets cold in the new house during the winter. When this arrived, I placed it next to the radiator where he has been sleeping thinking he'll try it there. He did!! I didnt think he would sleep on it but he does. I dont feel it creating heat but I'm sure its enough for my little guy to feel. Even if it doesnt, its something fuzzy that is HIS to lay on! My other cat hasnt even set food on it, not sure if its a teritory thing or if its not her idea of a nice place.Outdoor Kitty loves it!I have a stray, slightly feral cat that decided to take up residence on my back porch. Since the weather was getting so cold I made him a bed from a large cardboard box with 3 flaps up to stop the wind, along with a bed pillow and some blankets. He liked it but I was concerned that it was too chilly still on those 15F degree nights. For safety reasons I didn't want wires or electricity with a plug in warming mat.I added this thermal mat on top of the bedding along with a Snuggle Safe heating disk under it to one side. He took to the bed pretty quickly with a day or two afterwards. He sleeps on it nearly every night! Outdoor Kitty is a happy kitty! The mat is thicker then I imagined, very plush. The core has a little rustling noise when it's jostled, but it's a pretty quite rustle that doesn't bother anyone. |
