Great Value and QualityI ordered 2 of this item and when it arrived I was very pleased with the product. I needed these for airline travel and they had a large amount of ventilation on all 4 sides, zipper closed smoothly, easy access from the top or the end, fuzzy fleece like material for the bottom and a good stiff frame that still folds flat once used. I would give this product 5 stars instead of 4 if my cat hadn't popped through and escaped up my leg during the flight. This may have been because of my not fastening the velcro closure tight enough.) Overall I would recommend this item and purchase again if needed.Soft-sided pet taxiThis carrier is advertised as small but it actually is quite commodious. It accommodates my largest cat who is 17 lb as well as being quite long and .....err.......somewhat FAT! It is nice-looking and the presence of both handles AND a strap make it quite adaptable for different conditions.Not sturdy enough for usWe just brought home a new cat from a rescue and in the span of about 15 minutes she tore a hole through the mesh that was almost big enough for her to stick her head though. Luckily we were almost home. So, now I'm shopping for a hard-sided case.We did use this carrier with our last kitten without problems and the fact that it collapses for storage is nice. Very satisfied with this pet carrierI had a hard time finding just the right carrier at a decent price. I have an 18-pound Jack Russell. He just barely fits the airline dimensions and it wasn't easy to find a bag that would accommodate his weight and the dimensions. This bag did it though. It doesn't have a lot of pockets and wheels would have been nice but it did offer maximum interior space for my little guy to be comfortable. It is soft-sided so it squeezed under the seat. With the mesh sides, he could have air circulation and could see. I liked the top opening so I could let him pop his head out in the airport (although he's required to stay inside). One zipper handle broke already but the zipper still works. The carrier didn't seem too sturdy at first so I was pleasantly surprised that it survived the trip without any other tears or damage. My little guy wasn't too thrilled about being closed into the bag but now that he sees it means a new adventure, he gets very excited to see his travel bag come out!Perfect for cabin cat travelBought these when moving our 2 cats from Costa Rica to Seattle. Lightweight, easy to use, and the cats love them so much they still sleep in them sometimes a month later! |
