Worked okay at first, but then stopped making any difference.I was so excited to get this product and end my dog's barking. It worked a bit for the first few days or so, I think mostly because my dog was startled by it. But, as time went on, he got used to it and now it doesn't make any difference at all.Extremely Satisfied!We purchased the Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control about three weeks ago and we are very happy with the results. Our 3 year old Coton de Tulear has a small dog bark that can stop our hearts. We adore her and she IS the love of our lives, but that screaming bark every time anything moved outside was pushing our limits. I met a lady in our neighborhood who also has a Coton who was at least the barker that our dog is, maybe worse! I'd noticed that her dog was no longer barking when we walked by their home. She told me that she purchased the Ultrasonic Bark Control and it had changed her life... and truly it changed the life of everyone who walks by their home everyday. My husband was discouraged by the reviews for this product but after a month of no barking from the neighboring Coton I was convinced we should give it a try. We are SO HAPPY the reviews didn't stop us from making this purchase! Risa has figured out that she can do a bit of low octave grumbling and a very short low pitched quiet woofing without setting off the ultrasonic sound. I don't need a completely silent dog, but I can't take that high pitched screaming! We live in a fairly small condo, and we've positioned the device next to the front door where most of our barking took place.... If she forgets, it only lasts a second or two before she is cowering quietly away from the door. If she hears something when she's in the back of our home, she can bark and the device doesn't pick it up. So, we will be purchasing a second device to keep in our living room. I wouldn't care if I had to purchase four of them to keep our ears safe from that barking. The Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control has changed our lives and our neighbors are mighty happy too! If you can work with the short range of the device and you are desperate for peace and quiet, I think you will LOVE the Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control! I did read that some breeds seem more sensitive to the device than others. Our breed, Coton de Tulear, is part of the Bichon family of dogs which includes Maltese, Havanese, Bolognese, and Bichon Frisse as well as the Cotons. So, if you have one of these dogs maybe it will work for you!Save your MoneyDo not buy this product it is a waste of money. This will be the biggest mistake you ever make. I would recommend you buy anything but this item. Spend the extra moneyLifesaver!We have a new puppy who just got over his separation anxiety. So much so, that after everyone leaves for work (and I'm still sleeping), he's gotten into the habit of barking at people that walk by. I wanted to nip this in the bud before it became a real habit, so I quickly ordered this on Amazon.Let me just say, it worked. Every time he barked, this thing went off and he went scurrying away from the window he was looking out of. It only took two or three times for him to put two and two together and he's completely stopped barking. It even worked on my older dog who only barks when other dogs walk by. I will say that both of my dogs are Miniature Schnauzers. The manual says it works best on smaller and/or timid dogs... both of which describe mine. But, my results were fantastic and if you feel like that description matches your dog, this will probably work for you as well. The only negatives are: A) Both dogs get punished even if only one is barking B) It goes off at other loud noises other than barking Very effective...but NO off/on switch???This works very well on my two dachshund/chiuaua mixes. It worked immediately and has greatly reduced their barking. My only complaint is that it really should have an on/off switch. It is a pain to have to remove the battery every time you want to turn it off. |
